On April 8, 2024, as I ventured through the streets of Hong Kong with my camera in hand, I couldn't help but notice the familiar sights and sounds that have come to define this vibrant city. Despite the passage of time, Hong Kong appeared largely unchanged, with its bustling streets and towering skyscrapers standing as a testament to its enduring spirit. However, there was an underlying sense of melancholy in the air, perhaps exacerbated by the dreary weather that hung overhead. As I observed the bustling crowds navigating the city's labyrinthine alleyways, one thing became abundantly clear: the ubiquitous presence of face masks. Despite the gradual return to normalcy, the legacy of the pandemic still lingered, with people continuing to wear masks as a precautionary measure. Amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this reminder served as a poignant symbol of the resilience and adaptability of the people of Hong Kong in the face of adversity.
